Dr. K R Balakrishnan is an acknowledged expert in the management of end-stage heart failure and is credited with India’s First LVAD and HVAD pump implant as destination therapy. He is instrumental in starting India’s First Comprehensive Centre for Heart Failure Management and has performed more than 400 heart and lung transplants. He is also actively engaged with various institutions to develop Pulsatile and continuous flow LVADs (Left Ventricular Assist Device) and molecular biology of ventricular hypertrophy.

A doctor with nearly 30 years of experience, he has been a part of major cardiac surgeries and interventional cardiology at numerous well-known hospitals around the globe, with expertise in cardiac critical care, heart and lung transplantations, LVAD implantation, ECMO initiation, management of congenital heart disease and trans-oesophageal echocardiography. He is a key member of the team of doctors led by Dr K. R. Dr.Anto is a senior cardiothoracic surgeon with a keen interest in paediatric cardiac surgery. He underwent training in paediatric cardiac surgery, working in leading units both in India and abroad. Presently, he plays an active role in the team led by Dr.K.R.Balakrishnan at MGM Healthcare in paediatric cardiac surgery and heart transplantation. He has many peer reviewed publications in international journals to his credit. He takes great pride in his association with Aishwarya Trust in its mission to detect and treat heart defects in children from the underprivileged sections of our society.

With over 12 years of experience, Dr Ramya Shri C has extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of Paediatric Cardiology with experience in adult and paediatric structural interventions & paediatric cardiac surgeries like atrial septal defect/ventricular septal defect correction and tetralogy of Fallot repair. Her clinical interests and expertise span advanced echocardiography and the full range of diagnostic and transcatheter therapeutic procedures in neonates children and adults with congenital cardiac malformations, with special interest in management of cardiac failure and heart transplants.

With specialisation in Paediatric Cardiology and Paediatrics, with a fellowship in advanced Cardiac Imaging / Transplant and Mechanical Circulatory support, Dr. Rajesh Kumar now works as Consultant Paediatric Intervention Cardiologist at MGM Healthcare. He has experience in various paediatric cardiac surgeries like atrial septal defect/ventricular septal defect correction, Tetralogy of Fallot repair, arterial switch, Ross procedure, Bentall surgery, valve repair and replacement surgeries; he also has experience in assessment of patients for heart transplant and postoperative management of heart transplant patients.

Dr. Noveen Davidson is an accomplished cardiac surgeon with over a decade of experience in paediatric cardiac surgeries. His expertise includes paediatric and adult Congenital Heart Surgery, complex Congenital Heart Surgery, Redo Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery, paediatric Tracheal Surgery, Neonatal and Paediatric ECMO, Congenital Heart Transplants, Heart Failure Management, Intensive Care Management, emergency Trauma Surgery and Management, and Vascular Surgery. He has worked as a consultant at prestigious hospitals like the Green Lane Starship Children’s Hospital (Auckland, New-Zealand).

Highly regarded for exceptional clinical skills and active contributions to medical education, Dr. Davidson successfully performed a remarkable case of Preterm Ductus Ligation on a 600-gram infant. He has presented numerous papers at various national and international forums.

Dr. Vijayakumar is an alumnus of Christian Medical College, Vellore, where he pursued his Master’s degree in General Surgery. He also has the distinction of doing a clinical fellowship in cardiovascular surgery at the prestigious Boston Children’s Hospital, Boston & Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA. His primary areas of interest include congenital cardiac surgeries, neonatal cardiac surgery, valve repairs, aortic surgeries, and Heart and Lung transplantation. He has many publications and papers to his credit. In 2019, Dr. Vijayakumar received the Performance Excellence Award at the GKNM hospital.

Dr. K. Ganapathy Subramaniam is Cardiothoracic surgeon with over two decades of experience in Pediatric Cardiothoracic surgery. He completed his MBBS, MS and MCh at AIIMS , New Delhi. After finishing basic cardiac surgical training at AIIMS he specialised in Pediatric Cardiothoracic surgery and Transplantation. He has lead Pediatric cardiac surgical missions and has helped build Cardiac Transplant and Pediatric Cardiac Programs in different units across the country.
